Executive Privilege • Phillip Margolin • Book Synopsis
Harper Collins 2008
Does every President have something to hide? I'm sure some more than others. When dead bodies start to be found in Washington DC, all the clues point to the White House.
President Christopher Farrington had a 'thing' for young girls. He played but never paid. Until a college student, Charlotte Walker who worked as an intern during his campaign is found dead.
PI, Dana Cutler was asked to follow Charlotte , by an attorney who she owed a favor. Dana had no idea that when she followed Charlotte to a late night meeting that she would see the President as the reason for the rendezvous.
When Charlotte turns up dead the next morning, Dana also finds out that her life is on the line. She decides to go into hiding.
On the other side of the country, Brad Miller an associate for a law firm in Oregon, is asked to meet with a prisoner on death row. This convict wants to make a declaration that he was not involved in the death of the housekeeper's daughter who worked for then Governor Farrington.
Two separate murders, years apart, but only one killer. Does the killer reside in the White House? Or does the President's proclamation of his innocence stand true?
